Daryl Web

Daryl R. Kipke, PhD., President 
Dr. Kipke is an internationally recognized expert in neurotechnology and biomedical engineering. He served as CEO/Founder of NeuroNexus from its initial spinout from the University of Michigan in 2004 to its acquisition by Greatbatch, Inc. in 2012. Dr. Kipke also holds the position of Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan and directs a leading academic research program in neural engineering, neuroprostheses, and biomaterials. Previously, Dr. Kipke co-founded and served as CSO and Board Member for Neural Intervention Technologies, Inc., which spun out from the University of Michigan in 2001 and was acquired by W.L. Gore, Inc. in 2006. Dr. Kipke is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and serves on several institutional advisory boards in biomedical engineering and neurotechnology.

Jamille Hetke, MSE, Engineer Fellow 
Ms. Hetke is the lead engineer of neural interface products. She has extensive experience in probe design, MEMS processing and advanced packaging. Ms Hetke was chief designer of silicon probes in research and development at the University of Michigan for 21 years before co-founding NeuroNexus.

Rio Vetter, PhD., Director of R&D
Dr. Vetter leads the research and development of new technologies towards innovative, new products directed at research and clinical applications. He also directs the organization’s technical infrastructure. Dr. Vetter has leadership experience through directing in-house R&D and production teams, as well as federally funded multi-institutional and international R&D programs.

KC Web

Kc Kong, MSE, MBA, Director, Sales & Marketing 
Mr. Kong oversees the sales and marketing activities at NeuroNexus. His work focuses on positioning NeuroNexus as a premium brand that stands for high quality and cutting edge technology using both traditional and digital channels (catalog, social media, newsletter and marketing videos). Mr. Kong travels around the world for trade shows and product events, including technical workshops and in vivo product demonstrations. Through discussions with key opinion leaders as well as his own research, Mr. Kong spots technology trends and product opportunities. He works closely with the technical team to bring new products and services to market. As a founding member of NeuroNexus, Mr. Kong has played key roles across various functions in the company including product design, R&D, manufacturing and IT. Mr. Kong has MBA degrees from Columbia University and London Business School as well as technical degrees in biomedical and electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
