Lambda Fiber Stubs

Implantable lambda fiber stubs are designed for illuminating large volumes of tissue in a more homogeneous way than standard optical fibers. They can be customized for your experiments. Match the numerical aperture and core size to your current experiment to incorporate these fiber stubs into your existing experimental design.

Operators
  • Homogeneous illumination
  • Large Volume of Light Delivery
  • Gain stimulation efficiency, with minimized tissue damage
  • Simple Operation – Using the ThetaStation1 sub-sample your target region without probe movement

Note: OptogeniX Tapered Fibers can also be configured with a NeuroNexus optoelectrode

Lambda Fiber Stubs (NA, ID, OD)

Active Length

0.22 NA/105 µm/125µm

0.5, 1.0, 1.5 mm

0.39 NA/200 µm/225µm

0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 mm

0.66 NA/200 µm/230µm

0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 mm

Implant Length

0-20 mm

Fiber stubs are defined by the fiber specifications including:

  • Numerical Aperture (NA)
  • Inner/Outer Diameter (ID/OD) of core size
  • Taper Active Length (5% tolerance)
  • Implant Length (mm)
  • Connector Type (Ceramic Ferrule, Stainless Steel Ferrule)

Provide: – Fiber specifications – Fiber mounting position relative to shank – Fiber tip position relative to probe tip

Note: OptogeniX Lambda Fibers are only available on acute 32 and 64 channel optoelectrodes.
