At NeuroNexus, we understand how delicate and intricate surgery can be. To simplify the process, we created our accessories to leverage standardized interfaces, allowing different modules to be interconnected. For instance, an adapter can be used to connect an existing electrode with a 16-ch Omnetics connector. If the surgical plan requires the electrode to be placed further away from the headstage, our extension cables can make this possible. Moreover, multiple cables can also be daisy-chained for even more flexibility. As part of our mission to make surgery as intuitive and straightforward as possible, we are consistently introducing new adapters, cables, and EIB designs.

Adapters

NeuroNexus has developed an adapter-based solution that interfaces with the standard connectors used in commercially available electrodes such as silicon probes or microwires. This approach has enabled the X-Headstages™ to be more compact, even with the adaptors installed. Moreover, when pins do break, X-Headstages™ can be easily and cost-effectively repaired instead of being discarded. We offer X-Series probes for direct interfaces with the X-Headstage™.

Jumper Cable

Introducing the Jumper Cable, designed to bridge X3 EIB and X-Headstage. This ultra-thin polyimide cable with a 0.09mm thickness, offers flexibility through easy bending and folding. The cable can be utilized in either direction (left or right). Its pin-to-pin pinout between the two end connectors (male to female) ensures efficient and reliable connections for your applications.

X3 Cycle Extender

The throwaway adapter that is designed to extend the connectivity cycles of the X-Headstage’s onboard low-profile connector. This adapter offers pin-to-pin mapping, ensuring compatibility. By incorporating this adapter, you can increase the spacing between the EIB and the X-Headstage by an additional 1.2 mm, effectively enhancing the overall connectivity and longevity of your setup.

Headstage Remapper

Remaps the X3SR32 input to the X3R32 input, utilizing the right input connector. This remapping enables the use of standard adapter accessories, streamlining compatibility and expanding the range of available options for your setup.

X-Headstage to SmartBox Pro Adapter

To use the X-Headstage, simply connect the adapter to it and then use the Smart link cable to link it up with the SmartBox Pro. Depending on your needs, you can choose between two different finishes for the adapter. The Full Shell finish features a fully machined plastic body that completely encases the adapter and weighs 3.5 g. Alternatively, you can opt for the Min Size finish which utilizes adhesive and thermal wrap to protect the connections and weighs just 1.35 g.

HDMI Cable to Intan System Adapter

Use this adapter to access the X-Headstage using NeuroNexus’s HDMI X-cable solution. Then connect to Intan compatible acquisition box (Open-Ephys, Intan Recording Controller) via the SPI cable.
