In “Hexagonal metal complex based mechanically robust transparent ultrathin gold µECoG for electro-optical neural interfaces,” by Han Kyoung Choe, Hongki Kang, and collaborators, researchers developed transparent, flexible gold-based µECoG arrays that enable long-term neural recording and optogenetic stimulation without artifacts.
Using NeuroNexus recording systems, they achieved stable in vivo recordings with low noise and high signal-to-noise ratios, even after two weeks of implantation.
