Using a NeuroNexus 16-channel single-shank intracortical microelectrode researchers demonstrated that dexamethasone-loaded nanoparticles significantly reduced inflammation, repaired the blood-brain barrier, and preserved neuron health, improving neural recording quality crucial for brain-machine interfaces.
