Privacy Policy
What neuronexus.com collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to tell us to stop.
Last updated 19 October 2026. This policy is in effect today and under review by counsel; revisions land here as a dated update, described in one line under Changes.
Who we are
NeuroNexus Technologies, Inc., 640 Avis Drive, Suite 200, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, USA. We are the data controller for everything on this website. Write to support@neuronexus.com and a person answers. The short version. We take your data privacy seriously. We count visits to this site without cookies and without knowing who you are. We keep what you send us when you ask for a quote or contact us, so we can answer. If you sign in, we ask once whether we may connect your browsing to your account; it works the same either way. We never sell your personal information and we never share it for advertising. No ad trackers, no ad pixels, no data brokers.
1. Visits, counted without cookies
When you browse neuronexus.com we record page views and clicks — which pages, which datasheets, which downloads, which searches — so we know what is useful and what is broken. We do this without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. Our analytics tool (PostHog) turns your network address and browser type into a daily, one-way code that lets it tell two visits on the same day apart; the address itself is discarded, and the code cannot be turned back into you. We do this under legitimate interest — running a website well — and you can switch it off for your browser under Privacy choices in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as "off" automatically.
2. What you send us
When you request a quote, ask a question, or use the contact form, we keep your name, email, organization, your message, and — so a quote makes sense — which products you asked about. It goes to our CRM (HubSpot) and to the application scientist who answers you. We also record which campaign or email brought you to the site, so we know which of our efforts help people find us. Basis: taking the steps you asked for (a quote, an answer) and our legitimate interest in knowing what works. Forms are protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile, which sees the request but not your message.
3. Your account, if you have one
Signing in uses Amazon Cognito. We keep your email, name, organization, and an account identifier. The first time you sign in we ask one question: may we connect what you do on this site to your account? If you say yes, our team can see which products and documents you looked at when you contact us, and our CRM can show your visits alongside your enquiries. If you say no, nothing changes — your account works the same, and your visits stay uncounted-as-you. You can change the answer any time in your account or under Privacy choices. Basis for the linking: your consent, withdrawable.
4. The assistant
If you talk to our on-site assistant, your messages are sent to our AI provider (DigitalOcean Gradient, in the United States) to produce an answer. Do not put patient or subject data in it. We keep conversations so we can improve the assistant's answers; they are tied to your account only if you are signed in and said yes to linking. The model receives your message and the product information it needs to answer — not your name, email or account details.
5. Email from us
If you have asked to hear from us, or you are a customer, we may send product and company news through HubSpot. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. HubSpot records whether an email was opened and which link was clicked; we use that to send less, not more.
6. Things that live only in your browser
Your workbench (saved products and quote cart), the launch-bar dismissal, a cache of our public product data, and your privacy choices are stored on your device so the site works between visits. They identify nothing and leave your browser only when you submit a form.
7. Third parties on the page
Videos load from YouTube or Vimeo only after you press play, in their privacy-enhanced mode. Citation badges on some product pages load from Bioz.com and show how often a product appears in published papers; Bioz sees that its badge was shown. Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and sees your requests the way any network provider does.
Who else sees it, and where it goes
Our processors are PostHog (analytics, United States), HubSpot (CRM and email, United States), Amazon Web Services (accounts, United States), DigitalOcean (hosting and the assistant, United States), and Cloudflare (security). If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland, your data leaves your jurisdiction; our agreements with these providers incorporate the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and PostHog and HubSpot additionally certify under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We instruct PostHog to discard IP addresses. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context advertising, and we do not give it to anyone who is not working for us under contract.
How long we keep it
Analytics events: 12 months, then deleted. Contact and quote records: for as long as we are doing business with you or you ask us to delete them. Account data: until you close the account. Assistant conversations: 12 months. Email engagement: as long as you are subscribed.
