Ask a question about NeuroNexus products, compatibility, documents or how to choose, and get back the file, the datasheet or the products that fit, with links to check them. Ask the way you would ask a colleague, or type / for five shortcuts when you know exactly what you want. Quotes and orders go to our team, and an Application Scientist is one click away on every page.

What can I ask, and what goes to a person?#

The scope is four things: products, compatibility, documents, and how to choose. That covers a channel map or a manual, the datasheet for a part, what connects a package to a headstage, and the probes and systems that fit a preparation. Quotes, orders, pricing and account changes go to our team.

Answers are suggestions, generated from the catalog and the documents on this site, and they link to the datasheets and files they come from. Check part numbers and compatibility against the datasheet before ordering.

Where do I start?#

There are three ways in, and the human path, Talk to an Application Scientist, sits beside each of them.

  • Find what fits your experiment, the card on the home page, opens the consultation page, for describing the preparation, species, target and channels.
  • Find a map or manual, on the Downloads and Documentation hubs, opens the panel on a search for a file.
  • Consultation, the button on every datasheet and most pages, opens the panel beside the page you are reading.

What should I ask first?#

The first view offers three starters. On the home page they are one recommendation, one connection and one file: 64ch chronic rat, Intan · What connects an H32 to a SmartLink 32? · Map for the SmartLink 32 chronic. On a datasheet they act on that part: Map for this part · What connects to it · Datasheet.

Four habits get a better answer.

  • Say it the way you would say it to a colleague. Full sentences and lab shorthand both work.
  • For a recommendation, give the preparation, species, target, channel count and recording system. "Chronic mouse hippocampus, 64 channels, Intan" is the short form; the more of these the question carries, the shorter the list.
  • Name the exact part when you know it, as it appears on the datasheet: A1x32-Poly2-5mm-50s-177, H32, SmartLink 32.
  • Follow the links. The datasheet, the map and the guide behind each answer are one click away, and they are the record to check.

The five shortcuts#

Type / in the box to see the shortcuts, or open them from the button beside it. You can always just ask; the shortcuts are for when you know exactly what you want.

ShortcutGets youExample
/mapThe channel map for a headstage or probe/map SmartLink 32
/docsManuals, guides and notes/docs oDrive manual
/datasheetThe datasheet for a product/datasheet A1x32-Poly2-5mm-50s-177
/connectWhat connects to what, and how/connect H32 to Intan
/recommendThe products that fit your experiment/recommend chronic mouse hippocampus, 64 channels, Intan

On a datasheet, /map and /datasheet with nothing after them act on that page's product.

What is a file card?#

A map, manual or guide comes back as a card. The title opens the file in a new tab. The line under it gives the kind of file, its format and its size, such as Map · PDF · 257 KB, then a one-line summary and the part it belongs to, such as For SmartLink 32, which links the datasheet. Download saves the file under its own name; Copy link copies its address for an email, a protocol or a lab notebook.

When more than one file matches, the answer says how many and shows each. /map SmartLink 32 returns two cards, SmartLink32 Acute and SmartLink32 Chronic, one for each version of the headstage: open the one for the headstage on your rig, and check its part number on the datasheet.

When should I talk to a person?#

For a quote, an order or a change to your account; for a custom design; and whenever an answer has to be right before you order and you would rather confirm it. Talk to an Application Scientist is in the panel on every page and on the contact page. An Application Scientist or an engineer replies by message or by phone.
