A Drug Delivery Series probe is a single-shank silicon probe with a stainless-steel fluidic channel beside the array, with the delivery port at the distal end of the shank next to the sites, so an agent is infused or sampled on the trajectory the electrophysiology is recorded on.
Catalog designs are single shanks of 10 to 20 mm with 16 linear sites at 177 µm²; an optical fiber can be added. The packages, DIP-16 or Omnetics 16 on the electrical side, are under drug-delivery package, and the pump trigger is timestamped with the neural data through a GPIO input.
