Drug Delivery Package Series

Hardware
A drug-delivery package combines a 16-site silicon probe with a stainless-steel fluidic channel on the same shank, so an agent is infused or sampled at the site where the electrophysiology is recorded.

The electrical side is a standard 16-channel package: DIP-16 pins on D16 and OD16LP, an Omnetics 16-pin edge connector on DM16 and ODM16LP. Both mate a SmartLink 16 headstage directly, which streams to XDAQ or Smartbox over micro-HDMI; an X-Series headstage connects through an X-Series connector adapter. The OD builds add an optical fiber as well. An infusion is timestamped with the neural data by putting the pump's trigger on a GPIO digital input.

Compatible silicon designs: the catalog drug-delivery probes, single shank, 10 to 20 mm, linear sites at 177 µm².
