Q-Trode Package Series

Hardware
A Q-Trode package mounts a single tetrode, four sites at one depth, on a four-channel CQ4 connector; at 0.31 g it is the lightest package in the catalog, for isolating a few units in a chronic implant.

The CQ4 is a 5-pin Mill-Max connector at 2.54 mm pitch, on the CQ4 and OCQ4LP builds and on the Hybrid HQ4 cabled build; Q4 and OAQ4LP terminate in gold bond pads rather than a connector. The CQ4 does not mate a SmartLink or X-Series headstage directly; it connects to a headstage through a connector adapter, after which the chain is the usual one to XDAQ or Smartbox. The optoelectrode builds (OCQ4LP, OAQ4LP) add an optical fiber at the tetrode, so the optically tagged cells are the ones the tetrode isolates.

Compatible silicon designs: the Q-Trode probes, single shank, 3 to 10 mm, linear or tetrode layout, with 121, 177 or 703 µm² sites.
