Vector Array Series

Hardware
A Vector Array has a short silicon recording array at the working end of a rigid stainless-steel support body that resists buckling over a long trajectory, so the array is positioned on a deep target rather than spanning the approach to it.

The support body sets the tract diameter and is wider than a silicon shank: 315 µm at 16 channels, 400 µm at 32 and 64, 635 µm at 128. Tissue along the whole body is displaced, so the approach is planned along its length, not only at the tip. Catalog designs are single-shank with 16, 32 or 64 sites at 121 or 177 µm² on a 10, 12 or 15 mm iridium array over a 70 or 110 mm body, on 50 µm silicon; the 2025 version of the Vector Array reaches up to 128 sites, with ruggedized packaging for reuse across recording sessions. Reinforced, Fusion double-sided, chronic and optoelectrode builds are configured on the same array, and with proper handling one array is reusable across 50 or more acute experiments. The packages, Omnetics or ZIF-Clip, chronic implant lengths and optoelectrode builds, are under Vector package.
