Optogenetics with light delivered at the probe shank
OZ32LP carries 32 channels to 2 Hirose 16/32-pin connectors, with the probe bonded to a PCB carrying the connectors, in epoxy, at 0.3 g.
A ZIF package terminates in Hirose zero-insertion-force connectors that mate TDT ZIF-Clip headstages: a cam holds the contacts open while the headstage is seated, so the mating force on the implant is near zero.
Zero-insertion-force mating: the cable seats with almost no force, sparing the shank at every headstage change. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Weighs 0.3 g. Mates with TDT Zif-Clip headstages. Mates with a Hirose 16/32-pin on the headstage side. Available as a fully assembled probe assembly.
