Linear 3-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 8 mm
Silicon 3D probe platform — several 32-site 2D arrays, 64 to 256 channels, recording and stimulating

Three long shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 8 mm shanks (67th percentile of the 366 measured), a 4.55 mm-deep site array (95th percentile), 3.85 sites/mm² (2nd percentile) and a 5.88 mm³ neural interface (99th percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 19 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Built for the Matrix Array platform: this 2D array installs in a Matrix package slot and is not assembled in other packages. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
