Linear 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Silicon 3D probe platform — several 32-site 2D arrays, 64 to 256 channels, recording and stimulating

Four mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.75 mm-deep site array (41st percentile), 68 sites/mm² (25th percentile) and a 0.7 mm³ neural interface (56th percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 19 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Built for the Matrix Array platform: this 2D array installs in a Matrix package slot and is not assembled in other packages. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
