Linear Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 20 mm

Stainless-steel fluidic channel beside the array — infuse and record at one site

NeuroNexus E16 20mm 100 177 probe

A single long shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 20 mm shanks (99th percentile of the 366 measured), a 1.52 mm-deep site array (70th percentile), 703 sites/mm² (75th percentile) and a 0.52 mm³ neural interface (35th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
