For chronic implants, with the probe uncoupled from the head-fixed connector
H32 carries 32 channels to an Omnetics 32-pin connector, over a 9.8, 21, 50 or 200 mm thin-film cable to a PCB carrying the connector, in UV epoxy, at 0.2 g.
A Hybrid package (H-style package) mounts a silicon probe to one end of a thin-film polyimide ribbon cable, with the other end of the cable attached to a PCB and connector, so the probe is mechanically uncoupled from the connector; the thin-film cable is very flexible and can even twist slightly. The "H" stands for hybrid assembly, the hybrid of a thin-film silicon probe and a thin-film polymer component, silicon and polymer.
For chronic implants: the probe is mechanically uncoupled from the head-fixed connector and moves with the tissue. Weighs 0.2 g. Cable options 9.8, 21, 50 or 200 mm. Mates with an Omnetics 32-pin on the headstage side. Available as a fully assembled probe assembly.
