Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)

Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 15.0468 mm

Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

A1x32-Poly3-10mm50s-177 wireframe schematic

A single long shank with sites staggered in three columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 15 mm shanks (98th percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.56 mm-deep site array (31st percentile), 558 sites/mm² (70th percentile) and a 0.32 mm³ neural interface (14th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 7 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
