Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 10 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

A single long shank with sites staggered in three columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 0.29 mm-deep site array (15th percentile), 1,899 sites/mm² (96th percentile) and a 0.22 mm³ neural interface (5th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 24 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat not available on this close-spaced poly layout. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
