Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)

Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 6 mm

Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

NeuroNexus A1x32 Poly3 6mm 50 177 probe

A single mid-length shank with sites staggered in three columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 6 mm shanks (60th percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.51 mm-deep site array (28th percentile), 541 sites/mm² (69th percentile) and a 0.31 mm³ neural interface (13th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shank reaches structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 24 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
