Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
Single-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 12 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

A single long shank with sites staggered in two columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 12 mm shanks (93rd percentile of the 366 measured), a 1.9 mm-deep site array (79th percentile), 737 sites/mm² (78th percentile) and a 0.66 mm³ neural interface (51st percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 8 package configurations. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
