Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)

Tetrode 2-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Two short shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.2 mm-deep site array (13th percentile), 388 sites/mm² (61st percentile) and a 0.25 mm³ neural interface (8th percentile).

packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The short shanks suit superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 12 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
