Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
2-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Two mid-length shanks side by side, with sites staggered in two columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.79 mm-deep site array (48th percentile), 314 sites/mm² (56th percentile) and a 0.49 mm³ neural interface (30th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 4 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
