Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
2-Shank 128-Channel Probe, 10 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Two long shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites staggered in four columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 128 sites (96th percentile), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 0.33 mm-deep site array (19th percentile), 444 sites/mm² (64th percentile) and a 0.57 mm³ neural interface (46th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 14 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
