Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
4-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Four mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites staggered in three columns so neighbouring sites see the same units. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.12 mm-deep site array (6th percentile), 861 sites/mm² (83rd percentile) and a 0.35 mm³ neural interface (19th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat not available on this close-spaced poly layout. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
