Tetrode 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Four mid-length shanks side by side, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 1.05 mm-deep site array (54th percentile), 47 sites/mm² (20th percentile) and a 0.89 mm³ neural interface (63rd percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 3 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
