Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)
Tetrode 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5.969 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Four mid-length shanks side by side, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 6 mm shanks (53rd percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.2 mm-deep site array (13th percentile), 246 sites/mm² (51st percentile) and a 0.4 mm³ neural interface (25th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
