Neural Probes · A-Series (Polytrode & Tetrode)

Tetrode 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 6.937 mm

Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

A4x2-tet-7mm150-200-121 wireframe schematic

Four long shanks side by side, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 6.9 mm shanks (61st percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.21 mm-deep site array (13th percentile), 231 sites/mm² (50th percentile) and a 0.41 mm³ neural interface (26th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shanks reach deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 5 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
