Tetrode 8-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 7 mm
Sites clustered rather than spread — polytrode and tetrode groups a sorter can separate

Eight long shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 7 mm shanks (63rd percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.2 mm-deep site array (12th percentile), 225 sites/mm² (49th percentile) and a 0.68 mm³ neural interface (54th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
