Linear Single-Shank 4-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Four sites clustered at one depth — isolation by amplitude ratio, not a depth profile

NeuroNexus Q1x4 3mm 100 177 probe

A single short shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 4 sites (5th percentile), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.31 mm-deep site array (16th percentile), 958 sites/mm² (86th percentile) and a 0.21 mm³ neural interface (3rd percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The short shank suits superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 15 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
