Linear Single-Shank 4-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Four sites clustered at one depth — isolation by amplitude ratio, not a depth profile

A single mid-length shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 4 sites (5th percentile), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.31 mm-deep site array (17th percentile), 857 sites/mm² (83rd percentile) and a 0.21 mm³ neural interface (4th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shank reaches structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 16 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
