Vector Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 10 mm
Short silicon array on a rigid support body — deep targets in large animals

A single long shank with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 1.51 mm-deep site array (70th percentile), 880 sites/mm² (84th percentile) and a 0.52 mm³ neural interface (33rd percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 9 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
