Vector Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 13 mm

Short silicon array on a rigid support body — deep targets in large animals

A single long shank with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 13 mm shanks (94th percentile of the 366 measured), a 1.88 mm-deep site array (79th percentile), 1,422 sites/mm² (92nd percentile) and a 0.61 mm³ neural interface (47th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 2 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
