Vector Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 15 mm

Short silicon array on a rigid support body — deep targets in large animals

NeuroNexus V1x4 Tet 15mm 300 121 probe

A single long shank with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 15 mm shanks (97th percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.95 mm-deep site array (52nd percentile), 365 sites/mm² (60th percentile) and a 0.4 mm³ neural interface (24th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 5 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
