Vector Single-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 10 mm

Short silicon array on a rigid support body — deep targets in large animals

A single long shank with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 4.16 mm-deep site array (95th percentile), 58 sites/mm² (23rd percentile) and a 1.78 mm³ neural interface (88th percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 2 package configurations. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
