Vector Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 15 mm
Short silicon array on a rigid support body — deep targets in large animals

A single long shank with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 15 mm shanks (97th percentile of the 366 measured), a 2.15 mm-deep site array (82nd percentile), 322 sites/mm² (57th percentile) and a 0.72 mm³ neural interface (58th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 9 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
