Linear 16-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Sixteen short shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.03 mm-deep site array (2nd percentile), 350 sites/mm² (59th percentile) and a 0.54 mm³ neural interface (42nd percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity. The short shanks suit superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 8 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
