Linear 16-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 4 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Sixteen mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 4 mm shanks (21st percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.52 mm-deep site array (28th percentile), 81 sites/mm² (32nd percentile) and a 0.64 mm³ neural interface (50th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
