Linear 16-Shank 128-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Sixteen mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 128 sites (96th percentile), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.23 mm-deep site array (14th percentile), 187 sites/mm² (46th percentile) and a 1.29 mm³ neural interface (81st percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 10 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
