Linear Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 10 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A1x16 10mm 25 177 probe

A single long shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 0.39 mm-deep site array (25th percentile), 2,766 sites/mm² (98th percentile) and a 0.23 mm³ neural interface (6th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 25 package configurations, 4 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
