Linear Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 2.726 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

A single short shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 2.7 mm shanks (9th percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.76 mm-deep site array (43rd percentile), 1,410 sites/mm² (91st percentile) and a 0.33 mm³ neural interface (15th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The short shank suits superficial targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 6 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
