Linear Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

A single short shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 2.34 mm-deep site array (84th percentile), 911 sites/mm² (86th percentile) and a 0.73 mm³ neural interface (59th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The short shank suits superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 83 package configurations, 4 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
