Linear Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 7 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling
A single long shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 7 mm shanks (63rd percentile of the 366 measured), a 3.14 mm-deep site array (91st percentile), 258 sites/mm² (53rd percentile) and a 0.98 mm³ neural interface (71st percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 14 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
