Linear Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 7 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

A single long shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 7 mm shanks (63rd percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.79 mm-deep site array (48th percentile), 3,047 sites/mm² (100th percentile) and a 0.33 mm³ neural interface (17th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 24 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
