Edge Single-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 10 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A1x32 Edge 10mm 20 177 probe

A single long shank with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 0.63 mm-deep site array (35th percentile), 2,822 sites/mm² (100th percentile) and a 0.29 mm³ neural interface (11th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shank reaches deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 23 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
