Linear Single-Shank 8-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

A single short shank with sites spread evenly down the shank, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 8 sites (6th percentile), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 1.15 mm-deep site array (58th percentile), 70 sites/mm² (26th percentile) and a 0.5 mm³ neural interface (30th percentile).

spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The short shank suits superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
