Linear 2-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 5 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A2x32 5mm 25 200 177 probe

Two mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.79 mm-deep site array (49th percentile), 377 sites/mm² (61st percentile) and a 0.46 mm³ neural interface (28th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
