Linear 2-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 8 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A2x32 8mm 35 200 177 probe

Two long shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 8 mm shanks (67th percentile of the 366 measured), a 1.1 mm-deep site array (57th percentile), 271 sites/mm² (53rd percentile) and a 0.57 mm³ neural interface (46th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shanks reach deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 4 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
