Linear 2-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 11 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling
Two long shanks side by side, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 11 mm shanks (91st percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.89 mm-deep site array (51st percentile), 84 sites/mm² (33rd percentile) and a 0.5 mm³ neural interface (31st percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 11 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
