Linear 4-Shank 128-Channel Probe, 5 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four mid-length shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it sits at the top: 128 sites (96th percentile), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 3.14 mm-deep site array (91st percentile), 33 sites/mm² (12th percentile) and a 3.17 mm³ neural interface (96th percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 14 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
