Edge 4-Shank 128-Channel Probe, 8 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four long shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 128 sites (96th percentile), 8 mm shanks (67th percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.79 mm-deep site array (47th percentile), 264 sites/mm² (53rd percentile) and a 0.72 mm³ neural interface (58th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 14 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
